The CFL Held a Lecture of Flipped Classroom of Translation Teaching
On November 7th, 2017, CFL held a lecture of flipped classroom of translation teaching in Room 108. Prof. Tao Youlan from the Department of Translation of Fudan University was invited to delivery the lecture. Dean Shang Xin hosted the lecture and graduate students attended it.
First, Prof. Tao introduced translation theory and three functions of translation teaching. Besides, she presented the cultivation objectives for undergraduate students of Fudan University and the framework of translation theory course.
Then, she introduced the teaching model of flipped classroom in which students should learn by themselves before teachers teach knowledge. What’s more, she pointed out the characteristics of flipped model and compared it with traditional class.
After that, Prof. Tao introduced the process and methods of flipped classroom and displayed the teaching effect and study results of students.
At last, Prof. Tao answered questions raised by students.
