By the requirements of the Party Committee of the university and the deployment of the Party Committee of the College, all the branches of the faculty and students of the College of Foreign Languages have recently held the meeting on the study of the Party history to summarize the education of the Party history in the past six months.
At noon on September 8, the meeting of the College English Teaching Staff Branch was held in Room 515 of the Foreign Language Building. Li Huadong, the secretary of the branch, and other members attended the meeting. Ouyang Shu, a member of the Party committee of the College, was also present. At the meeting, Ouyang Shu briefly reviewed the work of the Party history study of the College and explained the main topic of this meeting. Li Huadong reported the work of the Party branch in the past six months, focusing on the summary of the Party history study, and the Party members of the branch exchanged their points of view. In view of the problems identified, the branch and the Party members would take measures and further develop the Party history in the new semester.
In the afternoon of September 8, the Teaching Staff Party Branch of the Department of Translation carried out this meeting in the office of the Department of Translation. Jiang Zhejie, secretary of the branch, summarized the work of the branch in the first half of the year, pointed out the shortcomings of the branch's work and the improvement measures, and talked about the experience of studying the spirit of the 27th National Conference on Party Construction in Universities and the study of the Party's education policy. In the afternoon of September 8, the Japanese Language and Foreign Language Teaching Staff Branch held the meeting in the Party house of the College. The members of the branch exchanged their learning experiences on the theme of Party history learning. They were proud that the Communist Party of China has been resilient for 100 years, and will do a good job to fulfill the mission of teachers. The branch members also exchanged their experiences from visiting historical venues, watching movies, and reviewing the Party history during the summer. At the same time, the party members also discussed shortcomings, analyzed the causes of the problems, and take the corresponding measures. They agreed that they should continue to strengthen the education of Party history, do a good job in the grassroots construction of colleges and universities, improve the ideological education, and give positive leadership in the process of young people's growth by a good example. On September 6, the 2019 postgraduate Party branch of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics held the meeting. Ni Yanwen, the secretary of the branch, presided over the meeting and Ouyang Shu, a member of the Party committee of the College, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Party members shared the experience of General Secretary Xi's important speech at the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, as well as the experience of visiting the historical museum, and believed that the Party's 100-year journey was magnificent. The Party members shouldered their responsibilities to learn the Party history and checked themselves against the Party constitution and put forward corresponding measures.
In the afternoon of September 8, the 2019 postgraduate student Party branch of the English and Japanese Literature and Chinese Department held the meeting. Ouyang Shu, the organizer of the Party committee of the College, attended the meeting to give guidance. Ouyang Shu told the students about the importance of studying Party history and encouraged them to study Party history in-depth, integrate theory into practice and promote practice with learning. Then, the branch members shared their experiences on the study of Party history. The students drew strength and wisdom from the study of Party history and learned the persistent spirit of the Communists. They also realized that there is room for improvement in their study, life, and work, and would correct their mistakes in time. The secretary of the branch Jiang Wenjing presided over the meeting, and Ouyang Shu was present to guide the meeting. During the meeting, Ouyang Shu pointed out the importance of learning Party history and led the members to study the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. On behalf of the branch committee, Jiang Wenjing made a summary of the work of the branch in the first half of the year, especially the study of Party history, and made a detailed analysis of the existing problems and put forward the improvement measures for the branch. Then, the Party members shared their improvements and discussed how to overcome shortcomings.
In the afternoon of September 9, the 2020 postgraduate student Party branch of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics held the meeting in the student activity room of the Foreign Languages Building. Li Kangxin, secretary of the branch, reported on the Party history study carried out by the Party branch in the past six months, and the Party members shared their Party history study experience. Party members believe that they should remember history, be grateful to the martyrs, study Party history, and set a good example in the practice.
Other branches like the English Department Staff Party Branch, English Translation Class 2020 Graduate Student Party Branch, and English Translation Class 2019 Graduate Student Party Branch have also held meetings on the topic of learning Party history.
