The result of the Test for English Majors-Band 8 (TEM-8) in the year 2021 was released by Foreign Language Teaching and Testing Office. Our first pass yield of TEM-8 is 75.19%, 33.12% higher than the national average pass rate, 23.31% higher than the average pass rate of universities of science and technology, and 8.01% higher than the pass rate of our university in 2019 (It is noted that TEM-8 in 2020 was canceled due to Covid-19).
Before this test, the College organized teachers with teaching expertise in English writing, listening, grammar, and translation to form a tutoring team, and regularly conducted special tutoring for students. The high first pass yield is attributed to the professional tutoring of teachers and hardworking of students. In the future, we will continue to work hard to improve the passing rate.
