On the morning of July 1, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing. The Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages organized teachers and students to watch the live stream of the celebration.
The watching organized by the College was held in Room 515 of the Foreign Languages Building on the morning of July 1. The participants included members of the College leadership team, the Party Committee, secretaries of teaching staff branches, secretaries of student branches, and representatives of teachers and students. Following the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping, they reviewed the magnificent history of the Party in the past 100 years, remembered the martyrs sacrificing for the revolution, and looked forward to the future in the new era. After watching the celebration, the students and teachers exchanged their views on the spirit of the speech of the General Secretary, combined with the work of moral education and foreign language teaching and research, as well as the work of grass-roots Party building, and expressed that they should earnestly study, implement this spirit, and further carry out the study and education of the Party history so as to play a good role as a pioneer Party member. In the speech of Li Pingyou, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, hoped that teachers and students of the College would turn the excitement of welcoming the centenary of the founding of the Party into the motivation to work and study as well as continue to learn political theory and the Party history. Then the teachers and students who performed well in the studying application this semester were commended.
In order to share the celebration with other teachers and students in time, the TV in the hall of the Foreign Language Building also broadcasted the live stream. All branches, departments, and classes of the College encouraged students and teachers to watch it through TV, the Internet, and radio. The College also created a strong atmosphere of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in the foreign language building through windows, door displays, and handwritten posters. Students and teachers all shared their happiness of this event via different social media.
