On the morning of June 29th, Li Pingyou, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, Zhang Yan, Dean of the College, and Qian Minfang, Deputy Secretary of the College, were invited by the Li Qianmin, the General Manager, and Yu Zhen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment Co. The two sides had an in-depth exchange around talent training, career guidance, and internship practice base construction.

Mr. Li pointed out that the College of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Maritime University boasts the language advantage in the maritime industry, which is conducive to the students’ employment in shipping enterprises. Yu expressed that the demand for talents is more diverse in the company’s transformation and upgrading, and expects diversified ways of selecting and training talents.
Dean Zhang introduced the teaching of the College, talent cultivation, and reform direction, and expressed that the university supports the maritime cultivation of the College, hoping to cooperate with shipping enterprises, improve the cultivation program, and better deliver talents for enterprises.
Secretary Li expressed his gratitude for the support of the company and expected the school-enterprise cooperation to build a good learning platform for students and provide new paths for enterprises to recruit talents. Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment Co. was founded in 2005 as a professional container manufacturing platform under COSCO Shipping, specializing in container production, research and development, sales, and after-sales service. Its customers include global liner companies and major container rental companies.
