Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of the annual projects and youth projects of the National Social Science Fund of China for 2021. Two projects from the College of Foreign Languages are on the list—Professor Zhang Yan’s Maritime Language Standardization and International Maritime Discourse from the Perspective of Maritime Power and Mo Wei’s The study of Modern Xu Jiahui Sinology from a Comparative Perspective. These two topics are closely related to the characteristics of our university and the cultural development of Shanghai.
After months of mobilization and counseling, the College of Foreign Languages encouraged its faculty members to participate in the application of national and provincial social science funds, hoping to make contributions to the development of humanities and social science research with the characteristics of our university.
