In the afternoon of September 30, the Martyrs’ Memorial Day, the College of Foreign Languages organized a visit to Lin-gang Coastal Defense Park to conduct a thematic lecture on “Honoring Heroes and Remembering Martyrs”. Some faculty members, student Party members, and Party activists from all grades attended the activity.
Lin-gang Coastal Defense Park is a militia post and a patriotic education base. Led by the interpreter, teachers and students learned about the revolutionary history and the history of the development and growth of the Chinese revolutionary army, and the weapons and equipment of the Chinese navy. In the exhibition room, there are also medals and barracks supplies of veterans who participated in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea and other wars.
Ouyang Shu, the instructor of the theoretical lecture group of the Star of the Sea Party Building Research Association, gave a lecture on General Secretary Xi Jinping’s statement about “Remembering martyrs and heroes”. He also asked the students to consciously resist the historical nihilism of smearing heroes and distorting history, consciously play the role of Party members on campus, and consciously help maintaining a healthy and clear network atmosphere.
During the study tour, the faculty and students also exchanged views with the leaders, veterans, and staff of the Park.
