In order to strengthen the political and theoretical learning of the faculty Party members and improve their political standing and plan their work more actively around the overall situation, the College of Foreign Languages held a teaching staff Party meeting in the afternoon of September 29 to study the spirit of Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Second Party Congress of the University. Li Pingyou, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, presided over the study, and all faculty members attended.
At the meeting, Mr. Li Pinyou led the Party members to study the spirit of Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. All Party members should continue to study and carry out the education on Party history, and strive to better promote teaching and research work.
Qian Minfang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, conveyed the spirit of the Second Party Congress of the University. She introduced the basic situation, the main agenda and the main spirit of the Second Party Congress of the university, and stressed that the 14th Five-Year Plan period is the key five years for the university to continue to promote the construction of a high-level maritime university with global influence, and the Party organizations, Party members, teachers and students of the College should, under the leadership of the new Party committee of the university, be firm in their confidence and determination, seize the development opportunities, take responsibility and make efforts to make greater contributions to the development of the College and the university.
The meeting also made a briefing on the recent work of the Party Committee of the College.
