In the afternoon of November 10, the third lecture of the Fall 2021 Level II Party School and the Initial Party Class for New Students of the College of Foreign Languages was held in the lecture hall of the Foreign Languages Building. Ouyang Shu, a member of the Organization Committee of the Party Committee and an organizer of the College, gave a lecture on the topic of “One Hundred Years of Party History and One Hundred Years of Marxist in China”, which was attended by newly developed Party activists of all grades and all freshmen Party members.
During the lecture, Mr. Ouyang Shu firstly led the audience to review the 100-year history of the Party and pointed out that the history of the Party can be grasped from different aspects such as historical periods, major conferences, major events, red spirit, and Party leaders, etc. Marxism in China was the reason why the theory of scientific socialism had constantly borne new fruits in Chinese practice, and College students should pay attention to the study of the latest achievements of it. Students should pay attention to the study of the latest achievements, learn the language of the Party, and cultivate the Marxist way of thinking.
On how to study the history and theory of the Party, Mr. Ouyang Shu hoped that the students should take a stable stand, stand on the standpoint of the people and the nation, look at the problems with a historical perspective, and learn Party history and theory in combination with our own growth, profession, and positions, and take learning Party history and theory as the motivation and guarantee for correcting the course of life, strengthening the spirit of progress and developing a strong will.
During the lecture, Mr. Ouyang Shu analyzed the wrong ideas that may appear in the university students joining the Party, and asked the students to correct the motivation of joining the Party, continuously improve their political awareness, actively participate in practice, take the initiative to take up the work, closely contact with teachers and students, and strive to join the Party as soon as possible.
The Party class was rich in content, clear and focused, and the students benefited a lot. Through this Party class, the students further learned the knowledge of the Party, prompted the students to draw the power of progress from the glorious history of the Party, and integrate the spiritual character into their study.
