In the afternoon of December 27, the general meeting of the Party Building Research Association of the College of Foreign Languages and the launch of Party Building Topics in 2020 was held in Room 515 of the Foreign Language Building. Qian Minfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, the person in charge of each project topic group in 2019, the person in charge of each new department of the Research Association, and the representatives of student party members and party activists of each grade attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Ouyang Shu, member of the organization committee of the Party Committee of the College and president of the Party Building Research Association, reported the work of the Association in 2019 to the participating teachers and students, summarizing the work of the Association in terms of research, practice and policy propaganda; introducing the organization, main person in charge and division of labor of the new Party Building Research Association in 2020, and informing the work arrangements of the Association in 2020; informing the evaluation and conclusion of the projects of the Association in 2019, and explaining the application arrangement and selection guide of the Party building theory and practice projects of the Association in 2020.
Qian Minfang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, issued the certificates for the final projects in 2019 and affirmed the work of the research association in his concluding speech. He hoped that the backbone of the new research association would actively implement the work arrangements of the association, strengthen theoretical research on party construction and propagation of party policies, promote scientific research, practical education, organizational education and network education, and make more achievements in the establishment of moral education and grass-roots party organizations in colleges and universities. Mr. Qian hoped that each faculty branch would make more achievements in the construction of the Party. Mr. Qian hoped that all staff and student party branches would actively form teams to declare the theoretical research and practical research topics for 2020; in the research topics, pay attention to highlighting problem awareness, demand orientation and realistic concerns, and also combine the characteristics of foreign language majors, make good use of comparison and analysis, and explore deeply with small cuts; strive to improve theoretical understanding and promote work practice through research and analysis.
Students and faculty members had a lively exchange around the topic selection for 2020. In their speeches, two teachers, Xu Xiuzhi, secretary of the Japanese Chinese Public and Foreign Language Staff Party Branch, and Sun Zhikuan from the Student Office, shared their experiences of undertaking research on the topics of the Research Association and made suggestions for the selection of topics for the student branch.
In 2019, under the leadership of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, the Party Building Research Association of the College of Foreign Languages established and concluded seven party building projects, compiled one collection of papers, carried out two large-scale essay writing activities, compiled two collections of essays, and organized more than 10 activities of various kinds; through the WeChat More than 100 articles have been sent through the public number PBSS, which has received the attention of teachers, students, alumni and parents.
