Professor Li Huadong, secretary of the branch, gave the party lecture. Li Huadong stressed that the original intention and mission of the Chinese Communist Party is to work for the happiness of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, which is implemented in the work of university English teachers, that is, they should do their best to help students improve their English and contribute to the cultivation of international talents. At the same time, teaching and research should be complemented by active participation in the research of the subject and continuous development of their own business ability to ensure that teaching always meets the needs of the times.
After that, Prof. Li Huadong proposed to set up a Workshop on Teaching and Research of College English to provide a platform for college English teachers to exchange and cooperate and develop together. Professor Li explained in detail the activities of the workshop, its organization and management, its operation, and the responsibilities and tasks of the members.
