Recently, Associate Professor Jiang Zhejie of the College of Foreign Languages published a paper in Babel: International Journal of Translation (SSCI; A&HCI) -- Adaptable-translation, pseudotranslation, and translation from the perspective of Buddhist sutra translations in early medieval China (https://www.benjamins.com/catalog/babel.00238.jia). In 1986, Shanghai Maritime University was one of the first two institutions in China to be granted a graduate degree in translation; in 1992, a master's student from the College of Foreign Languages published an article in the international translation journal.
