In the afternoon of July 3, our university held a symposium for outstanding graduates of 2019 Tibetan special recruitment in the College of Foreign Languages, with the attendance of Men Yanping, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the university, Zhu Yaobin, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, Lei Li, vice president of the Graduate School and deputy director of the Student Affairs Office, Zheng Hongxiang, deputy director of the Student Affairs Office, Qian Minfang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, Ma Zheng, representative of the teachers of the College, and other students admitted to the Tibetan special recruitment, and students of the College of Foreign Cao Xiaoxue and Wan Ying, graduate students of 2019, and representatives of students of all grades attended the meeting, which was hosted by Qian Minfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College.
At the meeting, Mr. Zheng Hongxiang gave a detailed introduction on the latest national policy of Tibetan special recruitment and the admission situation of our school in the past years, and reminded the two graduates to pay attention to work and life in the new environment.
Cao Xiaoxue and Wan Ying spoke one after another, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to their alma mater for their training and saying that they would actively devote themselves to their subsequent work in accordance with the school motto of faithfulness, sincerity and respect, so as to do their best for the construction of the frontier of the motherland and add glory to the development of their alma mater.
Mr. Ma Zheng expressed his affirmation of the students' academic performance and research performance during their graduate studies, and hoped that they would continue to keep their good study status and keep making progress.
Ms. Lei Li congratulated the two students for their successful admissions and hoped that they would prepare well in all aspects, adjust their physical and mental state, and adapt to their new positions and integrate into their new lives as soon as possible.
Zhu Yaobin, secretary of the Party Committee of the college, expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the school and relevant functional departments for their concern, and expressed his affirmation and congratulations to the two students for actively responding to the national call to support the construction of the border in Tibet, and instructed the two students to adjust their physical and mental states, be fully prepared for the new environment, and make greater contributions in their work positions.
Finally, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university Men Yanping made a concluding speech, expressing affirmation and support on behalf of the university to the two students for actively supporting the construction of the frontier, hoping that the two students would give full play to their personal advantages, plan their work carefully, arrange their life in the new environment carefully, and make firm determination and belief in devoting themselves to the construction of Tibet. In his speech, Secretary Men emphasized that young college students should firmly establish ideals and beliefs, set up ambitions, strengthen their psychological quality, improve their abilities and political standing, link their destiny with that of the country, and realize their life values and contribute their youthful power in the construction of the country.
Other participating teachers and students also spoke during the talk, affirming the choice of Cao Xiaoxue and Wan Ying to actively participate in the construction of the Tibetan frontier, saying that their classmates, teachers and the school will be the strong backing of the two students and expecting them to achieve more in their new positions.
