In the afternoon of May 22, the School of Foreign Languages held a meeting of department heads and faculty branch secretaries to inform the recent work of the School and convey the spirit of relevant meetings of the University. The meeting was presided over by Party Secretary Zhu Yaobin, with Vice President of Teaching Guo Haixia, department heads and branch secretaries attending.
At the meeting, Guo Haixia, vice dean of teaching, gave a briefing on the feedback from the series of mid-term teaching quality inspection seminars held recently for teachers and students. Party Secretary Zhu Yaobin hoped that each department and room would respond and implement seriously with the actual situation, and the college would work together with the school to solve the problems reflected by the teachers and students such as updating and improving the equipment.
Secretary Zhu conveyed the spirit of the recent meeting of the school and the speech of Secretary Song at the meeting, and informed the situation and requirements of the school's inspection and rectification, security and stability, ideology and other aspects of work. Combined with the requirements of the meeting, Secretary Zhu emphasized that all departments and branches should strengthen political theory study, especially the study of the 19th Party Congress, the National Education Conference and other important meetings and activities, enhance the overall concept and build political awareness; carry out the college's first-class undergraduate double million plan declaration and subsequent construction and improvement work, pay attention to undergraduate We should do a good job of political stability and daily security work on the campus, improve the awareness of security, and maintain a civilized and orderly environment on the campus; understand the impact of the domestic and international economic situation on the employment of college students, guide students to graduate smoothly, and help them find high-quality employment; and implement the Branch Construction Year by each grass-roots branch. The meeting also required all departments and branches to convey as soon as possible the spirit of the school meeting and the content of the report made by the national teaching master Li Zhiyi to the school, and organize the majority of faculty members to study and discuss in the context of professional construction, curriculum reform, textbook updating, teacher training and echelon construction, so as to promote the quality improvement of undergraduate education and the implementation of the spirit of the school meeting.
