In order to promote and inherit the red revolutionary culture of the Party and carry out good learning and education activities for the staff members and teachers of democratic parties, the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages organized a study tour for the staff members and teachers of democratic parties to South Lake in Jiaxing on May 12. Party Secretary Zhu Yaobin, Deputy Secretary Qian Minfang, faculty members and teachers of democratic parties participated in the activity.
At the South Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall, the teachers watched and studied the displays and exhibitions of the memorial hall carefully. The exhibition showed the humiliating history of China since modern times before the First Congress and the unyielding struggle for survival and the unremitting search for a way out of the nation. Faced with a picture, an exhibit, and scenes of the Tiger Gate Smoke Sale, Chen Wangdao's translation of the Communist Manifesto, the model of the Red Boat at South Lake, and the Founding Ceremony, the teachers' thoughts were brought to a period of thorny but passionate years. Faced with the interpretation of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the spirit of the Red Boat displayed in the memorial hall, they gained a deeper understanding of the spirit of initiative, struggle and dedication, which also became the spiritual motivation for them to carry out their work and teaching and research better.
On the island of South Lake, the faculty and staff inspected the Red Boat, which is one of the major venues. The Red Boat has witnessed the extraordinary history of the Communist Party of China for nearly 100 years and the great changes in the past 70 years since the founding of New China. As the birthplace of the Chinese Communist Party, the Red Boat has become a valuable spiritual treasure for the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese people during the revolutionary and construction periods.
This study tour gave a vivid and profound party lesson to the faculty members and teachers of the Democratic Party. The teachers expressed that they should learn the spirit of the Red Boat, do a better job under the leadership of the party organizations at all levels of the university, and make greater contribution to the cause of building moral and education in the university.
