On January 8, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., the pre-defense meeting of the 2019 National Social Science Foundation Project Application for the College of Foreign Languages was successfully held in Conference Room 515 of the Foreign Language Building.
He Shaobin, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, presided over the pre-defense meeting, and Professor Peng Qinglong, member of the State Council Foreign Language Subject Review Group, member of the Steering Committee of Postgraduate Teaching of Translation in Shanghai Higher Education Institutions and member of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, served as the judge of the pre-defense meeting.
First of all, Prof. Peng, Vice President of He Shaobin, expressed his heartfelt thanks for visiting the College! Then, nearly a dozen teachers who applied for National Social Science Foundation projects in the College reported on their respective topics.
Before the defense, Prof. Drum carefully reviewed the electronic version of the application, and he gave the teachers many constructive suggestions on the selection of topics, research ideas, framework construction, and literature resources during the defense.
The defense session not only improved the quality of the application letters of the teachers who declared the project, but also enhanced their scientific research awareness, which was well received by the participating teachers.
