On March 3, Lin-gang Special Area held an event to celebrate the 113th anniversary of International Women's Day. Chen Jinshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Lin-gang Special Area, delivered a speech. Mr. Ma Lijian, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the Municipal Women's Federation, Mr. Xu Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Science and Technology, Mr. Weng Wenlei, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Women's Federation, Mr. Huang Hong, Deputy Director of the Municipal Science Committee and Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Foreign Affairs, attended the event.
Mr. Nanfang, the multilingual service center of Lin-gang Special Area, together with four student volunteers, provided language services for the celebration. Ms. Nan provided simultaneous interpretation for the speeches of the leaders and guests, and the four student volunteers accompanied the foreign experts to the meeting and acted as interpreters during the afternoon tour of the Science and Innovation Smart Tour. The language volunteer service enabled the participants to deeply feel the temperature and understand the culture of Lin-gang.
In March, everything is new. The purpose of this event was to review the history of high-tech development in Lin-gang, introduce the policies related to supporting female talents in the Special area of Lin-gang, count the innovative achievements of female researchers from all walks of life, and actively promote female scientific and technological talents to set up scientific and technological enterprises and implement housing security. Dr. Bai Rong'en, captain and associate professor of Shanghai Maritime University, also delivered a speech, saying in the interview that she is in Lin-gang and loves Lin-gang, and expects to see more and more women shining and more youthful power gathering in Lin-gang. In the afternoon of the event, during the Science and Innovation Tour, four students helped four experts who are currently in Shanghai for scientific research and teaching to understand the current development status, development speed, development strength and development potential of Lin-gang through translation services. Through this activity, the volunteers showed the young women of Lin-gang through her translation, not only exercised their professional ability, but also felt the her power that can empower the development of Lin-gang in various fields such as science and technology and culture.
Spring is in full bloom. On the occasion of this festival, the teachers and students of the Language Service Center of Lin-gang Special Area also wished the women to be prosperous and courageous! We hope that they will contribute to the development of science and technology in the area of Lin-gang and contribute to the construction of a strong country. In the future, Lin-gang Multilingual Service Center will continue to provide language assistance and quality services for foreign talents in the Lin-gang area, so as to attract more overseas friends to integrate into Lin-gang and love in Lin-gang.
